Question

I'm a 55 year old male. What are some of the possible

Sent to Health Experts February 14, 2006 9:43 a.m.

I'm a 55 year old male. What are some of the possible reasons for extremely dark colored urine? Not just dark yellow, but brownish and cloudy. Strong family history of prostate cancer. My PSA's are very low. Father had a bladder cancer removed. I'm a kidney donor. Drink alcohol only occaisionally. Have smoked. Feel good. No health insurance. Must travel long distance to VA facility.

Yes, I will go be tested. In my question I didn't say there was blood in my urine. I described it as "dark". You concluded that meant there was blood in it. Is that the only reason it could be dark?
Thank you.

Dark urine could either be dark red or dark brown, of which both are indicative of bleeding.
