Sometimes pain with intercourse can be the sign of a pelvic inflammatory infection so you need to monitor this closely and if the pain continues you would want to be seen by your physician so they can do an examination to rule this out. Sometimes a certain position can cause pain as it can hurt the vaginal walls and cause some trauma that takes a couple of days to heal. I would not be concerned if it is a one time occurance but should the pain continue and if you experience any bleeding at all then you would need to be seen.
