my mother has been diagnosed with a seranoma. She had breast cancer about 18 years ago, with radical mastectomy. She had silicone implants for 15 years and then the left one incapsulated. The doctore removed them and put new ones in. Two years later the left one incapsulated again, she had the silicone removed November 2005. She has ben going to the doctor since then to have the liquid removed via syringe, two drains have been put in and yesterday she had a suction/drain inserted. The doctor also cleaned up the pocket and removed some of the scar tissue build up. He is under the impression this will close the pocket and the seranoma will disappear. Is this correct? What is a seranoma and how does it appear?
