A STRAY CAT RECENTLY BIT ME ON MY R INDEX FINGER I WAS TOLD THE PUNCTURE WAS INFECTED AND THERE WAS ALSO AN INFECTION IN MY P.I.P JOINT. NEEDLESS TO SAY THE SURGEON PERFORMED AN I&D AND INSERTED A DRAIN, I WAS ON I.V. ANTIOBIOTICS(LEVAQUIN 750 mg) FOR 12 HRS. MY QUESTION IS HOW IMPORTANT IS THIS P.I.P JOINT. OF COURSE I WILL RECEIVE MY 3rd RABIES SHOT TOMORROW I ALSO NEED TO KNOW THE RECOVERY TIME FOR THIS TYPE OF SURGERY... I ALSO HAVE TO CONTINUE TAKING LEVAQUIN po FOR 4 WKS
