I have a yellow vaginal discharge and have had it since pregnancy. I have told my obgyn about it and she tested me for infections, e coli infection, did a pap smear, etc. She says that everything is negative and that the yellow discharge may go away after I stop nursing my baby.
This is my second baby. After my first baby, I didn't have this yellow discharge. It doesn't smell very bad, but does have a little odor. Usually, I can wear just 1-2 pads a day, so there's not a lot of discharge, but just enough to bother me. My obgyn said that I had cervicitis, or inflammation of my cervix, but she said it is "normal" and that could be why I have a discharge, but yet she said there is nothing to do about cervicitis.??? I think I had intercourse the day before I went in for the pap, so that might have been why she saw an inflammed cervix. Anyway, my question is about this yellow discharge. What else could it be related to? I didn't have it until my pregnancy started. Then it never went away. I was tested for infections and everything was negative. So after I had the baby, it's been 4.5 months after the delivery and I STILL have the discharge. I'm tired of wearing a pad and don't want to believe that this is just "normal." Something has to be wrong and my doctor just can't figure it out possibly.
I do have a lower back pain that is a milder form of what I felt during the delivery of my son. It was 100x worse during the delivery!!! I kept telling everyone that my back was in horrible pain, but they said it was "normal." So after the delivery, I still get throbbing pains in the lowest part of my back...the reason I'm mentioning this is because I also told my obgyn and she didn't think it had anything to do with the discharge and so I'm wondering if the lower back pain has something to do with it.
If you can help me, I'd appreciate it. I don't feel like everything is normal. I know my body and I just can't accept that just because I had 2 babies, now my body is different and I'm going to have a yellow discharge forever.
