REPLIED Check Mark

You actually need to get in to see your doctor. A thick, itchy/burning discharge and fishy odor indicate that you may have vaginitis and sounds most like trichomaniasis or bacterial vaginosis. These conditions can only be diagnosed by your physician, and can only be treated by a prescription medication.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

Trichomaniasis is sexually transmitted. If you are tested and have trichomaniasis, your partner may need to be treated as well.

Bacterial Vaginosis is not considered to be sexually transmitted. It's not clear why some women get it, as it is seen in women of all ages, both sexually active and not.
