I have just recently discoverd white blotches on my scrotum. My penis head also has small discoloration spots and appears to look purplish. My scrotum appears dark (except for the white blotches) and is dry and itchy. What is this and should i have it checked immediately?

This sounds like a skin infection due to yeast and would be easily treated with over the counter products. Monistat dermatologic lotion or lotrimin are two reasonable choices. You should have complete clearing in 2 weeks. Keep the area dry from sweat by applying baby powder frequently during the day. This will help to keep the yeast at bay

Reply to S. Sarisky DO.'s Post: Thank you for replying. Also it's the pigment of the skin that has changed. There is no residue, film, or any substance associated with the while blotches. Can yeast cause the pigment of your scrotum skin to change pigment in blotches?

tinea versicolor can act this way (fungus) but a monilial (yeast)infection can as well.
Because of the scrotal involvement the most likely candidate is candida albicans (yeast infection) there need not be residue, only skin changes and itching
two short weeks of treating will tell you if this is yeast
