Yes it can, but it would generally pick an area where there is another
artificial something in the body. Did you perchance have a vein
filter placed while you were in the hospital? Are these
infections visible or are they under the skin? The groin area-is
that a documented staph infection or do you have an enlarged node that
you think is staph?
