Hi. I am writing in regards to some discharge I noticed coming from my left nipple. First off, I have both of my nipples pierced. I have had the piercings for about 5-6 months and there is still some yellowish puss-like discharge which comes from both of them. I maybe notice this 2 to 3 times a week but have been assured by my piercer that this is normal as, technically, they are still healing and will continue to do so for about a year. However, today when I was getting ready for bed and cleaning my piercings, I noticed a discharge coming from the left nipple. Ususally, there is discharge from the holes of the piercing only but this was coming from one of the actual ducts in my nipple and was on the left side only (I checked the right, no discharge). It was also almost identical to the discharge that comes from the piercing holes. Should I be concerned about this? Is it related to my piercing, or something else? Thank you for your time.

Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy),
I believe that you are suffering from either a local breast infection (? abscess) or a foreign body reaction to the pierced ring.
You need to be seen by a specialist at the earliest, who would be able to give you either prescription medicines, or drain the pus, as needed.
I do not agree with the piercer's opinion about healing goign on for an year..
