Question

My 16 year old son has some swelling on his left ...

My 16 year old son has some swelling on his left testicle and says it hurts a lot. He says he hasn't been hit in this area. What could be the problem?

It could be testicular torsion, fluid buildup, or infection related as well. If he is in quite a bit of pain he should be seen to make sure even without being hit he has not had some trauma to the testicles and causing some circulation problems as this can cause swelling and pain as well. I would have him seen as soon as you can espeically if he is in alot of pain as with something like testicular torsion it is considered an emergency.
