You can try Orajel, (for some it helps, while others it causes more pain) Rinsing your mouth with warm salt water, alternate rinsing with 1/2 water and 1/2 peroxide too. Continue your Advil, you can take 600mg at a time as well. Moist heat compress. A good home tip is chew cloves or rub clove oil on the tooth.

The only permanent solution is to see a dentist, which you have that appt for. If it gets too severe, you can always go to the urgent care or the ER as they can then give you something for pain there.

Best of luck, Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *Accept* button.

Reply to Lindie's Post: Do you think that I should remove the tooth repair out of the tooth. The dental hygenist that I talked to on the phone said because I put the repair in the hole it probably still had some food in there and this has caused it get infected.

I don't know how deep it is, if it's the nerve, but if you take it out and clean your mouth with the peroxide/water it may help a lot, just don't want the nerve exposed. If the nerve is not exposed, then you should be fine and the above can help to start getting the infection cleared up till you can get antibiotics.

Hope this helps Hun.

Reply to Lindie's Post: I didn't accept your answer because the tooth stopped hurting and I hadn't had a chance to even try out what you suggested.
