Brown vaginal discharge could be old blood that is shed from higher up in the vagina. If it has a fishy odor then the brown discharge is abnormal and is a sign of an infection. Vaginal brown discharge with a bad odor coming from your vagina could be caused by an abject that was placed in your vagina and has caused an infection for example a tampon that was forgotten.

I recommend that you be examined and treated in person by a gynecologist.
