Question

I was treated for a bacterial infection with ...

Sent to Health Experts June 19, 2006 12:04 a.m.

I was treated for a bacterial infection with antibiotics. Then, two weeks later, either I still had the same infection, or got another one. I went in and was examined, and was sent for a vaginal ultrasound. There, a tiny, tiny, tiny cyst was found on the left ovary, which had been causing me some pain and discomfort. I was then given another type of antibiotics. These made me very sick, and I was rushed to the ER. I saw my OBGYN the very next morning, and was examined, given pain meds along with a third antibiotic medication, and he said I had a pelvic infection. I got better, but, now, three weeks later, it is starting again. I have pain on my left side (as if ovulating), discomfort, a discharge, etc. What is going on with this? Why would it be occurring again?
