Can you develop a staff infection without a open wound or sore? The reason I ask is my husband started out with a swollen knee that had fever in it, as the days have gone by it has spread to his calf. We have iced the knee and taken tylenol for the fever. Any ideas as to what might be happening if its not a staff infection?
