my child had a CBC done and everything looks real good except his platelets were at 479 the Dr said that meant he had an infection and that the bone marrow was doing its job but i have gone on line and found all this things that it could be other things such as leukemia even though his are not that high last time he had a CBC was 5 months ago and platelets were 380 and everyhting else was fine then too. please if there is something bad, will the platelets be the only high number there or will there be other stuff on the blood abnormal such as white cells please help thank u sooo much
