My white cell count came back normal during my physical exam however it appears that I have more lymphycytes than neutrocytes. I am supposed to recheck my level in thirty days--Is there something I should be concerned about

Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy),

As long as your count was within normal limits, you shouldn't have any concern for recheck unless you are currently being treated for an underlying condition. Is your concern that the lymphocytes were higher than the neutrocytes?

Reply to AnnlynnRN's Post: yes- the concern is that the lymphcytes were higher--and when looking up lymphocytes and seeing all the connections got me nervous--this is actually about my husband and he appeared nervous--the only condition he is being treated for is high blood pressure

Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy),

The normal for neutrophils is 40% to 60% and normal for lymphocytes are 20% to 40%. So you can see there is a small window where you can have higher lymphs than neutrophils. As long as they are within normal limits....no need to worry. If your lymphs are on the high end of normal, your body may just be fighting a little infection. Unless you begin to experience signs of infection (fever, fatigue) your body's immune system seems to be doing it's job well and no need for concern.
