Hello,I would like to know is it normal for both cheeks in mouth to have sorta
a white looking film on them. Also their appears to be a jelly like film on
both cheeks that is white and the texture is sorta like jelly and can be moved
a little bit.If I am correct,when I had tonsillitis infection many,many years ago
and took antibiotics that is when it probably appeared and been like that
ever since. My tongue also has had a dry like appearance white coated I guess.
I have always had really bad breath and think there is something going on
in my mouth like a fungal infection that has not been identified by doctors
or dentist. If this is some sort of oral thrush can this make your breath smell
really horrible after all these years.I am 34 years of age...thanks

REPLIED Check Mark

You look like have oral trush. I suggest to you to see a doctor to confirm it. After confirmation you can use nystatin trouches. Oral trush probably not the cause of bad breath. Your doctor can find the cause and treat it. To read more about the bad breath please click the link just below:

can the oral thrush if indeed be the reason why
I have a bad taste in my mouth? Secondly, a dentist
told me that oral thrush can cause bad breath
or chronic bad breath. Are there not any cases
of bad breath being related to the fungal
infection in mouth? Last,if my doctor can
not confirm the diagnosis can I insist on
trying the nystatin because I tend to believe
its what I have?

ACCEPTED Check Mark

I have not read that oral thrush can cause bad brath , but dentist apparently has seen patient getting bad breath from oral thrush. Your doctor can test the sample taken from your mouth mucosa covered with white film, examine it in the office and can confirm the diagnosis .
