Can you have an infection like cellulitis or something of that nature and NOT have it show up in your blood work?? In other words, can you have one of these types of infections with totally normal bloodwork results??

Reply to James's Post: I am not sure but I know my white cells were normal. I was only told by my Doctor that that my blood work was normal. I would assume he just checked the normal things. Nothing out of the ordinary.

You most likely had a WBC or a CBC which check for infection among other things. I would say that unless the infection was just starting and hadn't really become a full blown infection, then your blood work could turn out normal. Chances are, if these blood tests are normal, then you don't have an infection. If this answer helps please hit the accept button. Thank you.
