If you are talking about HIV, Generally it is flu like symptoms they get.
The earliest symptoms occur while your body begins to form antibodies to the virus (known as seroconversion) between six weeks and three months after infection with the HIV virus. Those who do show early HIV symptoms will develop flu-like symptoms. This can include: fever, rash, muscles aches and swollen lymph nodes and glands. There are some cases where it is possible to show symptoms as early as a few days. But do keep in mind, that HIV/AIDS although it can be transmitted via intercourse, your risks increase when there is a blood to blood contact. So at this point, based upon the information given, I would say chances are you are not infected. But to be safe.. I would still be tested after 3 months, 6 months would be best. In the mean time just make sure to use protection.
Testing Neg- at 3 months is too early. Having a scab on the back doesn't indicate any HIV, herpes etc. Do be careful, I know it's not easy, but I wouldn't stress over this incident, and do be more careful in the future.
As far as testing; Most people develop the antibodies within 3 months of infection. In rare cases, it can take up to 6 months.
Here is a site that breaks down symptoms of HIV. Early symptoms along later symptoms as well. Even if you have "some" of the symptoms.. it doesn't mean it points to HIV. For the common cold/flu could also give the same symptoms as well.

The main way to get HIV is blood to blood contact and/or body fluid to body fluid, but it does take a lot of body fluid. So with him not even ejaculation, chances are you are fine. So do just be more careful in the future.
