The best way to help lartngitis is to rest the vocal cords. Don't speak unless necessary and to keep it at a whisper. This can speed up recovery as well as prevent any further damage to your already inflammed cords. Some people believe breathing in humidified air helps them as well. Although not scientifical supported, the moisture can help the area remain moist and less chapped. How long have you been taking antibiotics? The underlying condition can also slow the process. If, the infection is taking its time going away, it can affect the healing of the rest of the throat. Hope this helps you. Take care of yourself and get some rest.

The lack of rest suppresses your immune system and may be keeping you from healing as fast as you would like. Stress too can impede healing. I hope you are in a line of business that doesn't require you to use your voice a great deal. Hopefully, not a telemarketer? This too will keep you from healing. If you can take a couple days off, please do. We all need this once in a while for optimal health. Much easier said than done, isn't it?
