hi,
i had my period just about two weeks ago, and now i have it again. is there something wrong? I was on the pill for about six years and just stopped las year. my periods have been normal within that year. right on time and only lasting foe about 4 days. brown spotting at first then regular bleeding the next 3. then stopping foe a half a day then finishing up with light red seepage the last day. i always get ovulation pain mid cycle then two weeks later i get my period, but this month not ovulation pain mid cycle, just my full fledged period twice this month. but it seem alot heavier. i'm in my fourth day and it shows no signs of letting up. what could be wrong? i'm not pregnant because i am not sexually active and have not been for almost two years? i have heard that your period cycle changes evry 7 years. is this true. i just had my 34th birthday. thank you, diane

Hello

Since this is just happening once so far, I wouldn't get alarmed yet. Sometimes we do reset our cycles. I haven't heard it's every 7 years though.

If the bleeding continues past five days, you will want to call your doctor.

The most common reason for abnormal bleeding is infection or a hormone imbalance.

But also, it may just be happening and won't happen again.
