I would like to ask, I had a knee replacment about 9 yrs ago. I started having probles with it about 11/2 yrs ago. I went to see a ortho. doctor, he said it had become very loose and, I needed a new knee put in with larger parts. I said ok when can we do this. he sent in someone to plan the surgery, it took place 4/3/06 only to find a very bad infection inside the knee ect. They have been in to clean it up twice now. I also has IV antib. along with pills. I was git in 3 diffrent ways with antib. the knee is still infected 4 month later. I have been off the antib. I still have no knee inside. the pain is just unbearable. at times it holds alot of heat, stays swolin' can you tell me about how long it takes to clear something like this up? my doctor told me it may take a year with iut having a knee in there. that seems like a very long time. till, I can get another knee put in. I want to get back on my feet again. so I can live my life to the fullest, I am only 44 yrs old I have a grand daughter to play with, I can't walk on my leg at all, I did NOT know you can't walk with out a knee in, I tryed to put weight on it. I just fall to the floor. and very painful...
