Kind of embarassing - my husband uses a condom and after intercourse I start to itch and have a slight discharge. Any suggestions?

Hello,

It is possible that you are allergic to the latex with which the condom is made or perhaps to the spermicide with which it is coated.

Try changing the brand of the condom. If you continue to have irritation and discharge, you may have a vaginal infection that needs investigation.

Small amount of clear discharge which does not smell may suggest that it may be your own natural vaginal discharge. It is possible that somewhat you are allergic to the kind of condom your husband is using. Changing the brand of condom he is using may prevent itching after intercourse.
