Pain in these glands usually means that they are infected. It would happen due to infection in any part which these glands drain. So it could be an infection in the armpit itsel, in the surrounding skin and the breast. The most likely reason is a breast condition. You should approach a doctor for a thorough breast examination, specially for a woman at your age.
