Fever is normally a sign of some type of infection going on within the body. With the blister showing on your lip this may be part of the cause and reason. I would suggest to see your primary doctor for blood work and exam to rule out any serious cause to this.

Reply to 4ren6's Post: Well that is the thing. I went to my doctor yesterday because of a tumor on my chest. Which he thinks is lipoma. However, while I was in the office, I had fever. They asked me was I feeling bad and I told them no. They just said that maybe I am about to come down with something. But see, I don't feel bad. Even when I am running the fever. I dont know I am running the fever until I start sweating really bad.

Reply to 4ren6's Post: No, he said Lipoma. A benign, fatty tumor. No blood work was done. I was set up with a surgeon for next Thursday. He is going to do a biopsy on the tumor. He did a full breast exam and felt no more tumors. I also did not get the fever blister until this morning.

Hello, Tina.

My associate notified me that you're on the line with a new question. He didn't really have to back off, but we have a nice working relationship. He's a forensic expert, and we collaborate.

I see good news. Excellent.

When you saw your doctor, you had what we call FUO, fever of unknown origin. Now, we see that you were harboring a virus that had not yet become clinically apparent.

I'm linking you to a web page about fever blisters (cold sores). These occur outside the mouth. If your sore is on the inside, it is a canker sore and is different.

Do not close this thread. Keep it open, so you can let me know the results of the biopsy without having to pay again.

Reply to Teaching Doc's Post: Ok, it may sound like good news. But, I have always had fever blisters. I have been getting them often since I was really young. However, stress seems to bring it on. I truly was stressed yesterday, so I can see a blister coming on from that or even maybe fever. Anytime I have gotten these blisters, I dont run fever with them unless I have a cold. I keep a running prescription of Acyclovir for those days when they become really bad.

So, where is this unknown fever coming from? Maybe a virus, but still in all, is it associated with this lump I have?
