I have a lump in the middle of my armpit, what could it be?

I have a lump in the middle of my armpit, what could it be? it has been there for over two weeks and has only gotten bigger, I can't really see it on the surface of my skin but I can feel it beneath when I push on it, and my armpit is just tender all of the time.
