She may have either a yeast infection or a bacterial infection either of which may cause symptoms of burning.
I would suggest that she not use a tampon right now which may irritate the vaginal wall and increase the sensation of burning.
There is also a possibility that if she has changed the type of tampon she has been using to one that has some deodorant qualities in it, it may be the source of the irritation also. Some women develop a type of an allergic reaction to the deodorant powders currently being used in the tampons and sometimes sanitary napkins as well.
So have her use a plain sanitary pad...and I can only guess she probably won't be happy about that Images available only to Customers.
If it doesn't after a day or so, then we have to assume she has a bacterial infection which should be seen by her physician and treated.
