My son (25 yrs old) has very bad varicose veins that have actually erupted. He was scheduled for surgery to have the veins stripped but has developed Staph infection that returns as soon as he goes off the antibiotics. The surgery has been postponed until the infection goes away. Is there a stronger antibiotic out there to get this under control? We were also told that once you have staph infection you will have it for the rest of your life. Is this true?
