Tammi,

The yellow smelly fluid is an indication of an infection. Since you have been putting peroxide and a bandaid over it and there does not seem to be any improvement, I think that it warrants futher evaluation by your plastic surgeon.

Make sure that you take your temperature. If you are running a temp of 99 or higher, than there is a potential that the infection is worsening and may need special antibiotics to take care of it.

I wouldn't wait.....make an appt with your surgeon and let his nurse that you have an infection and need to be seen. You don't want this to turn into an abcess. The doctor may have to take that suture out and clean out the incisional area really well and place you on the antibiotics.

I wish you well....and take good care of yourself. But if you need me for further information, please feel free.

Hi! thak you so much, Um i read some other peoples testimony online, and I started spraying it with peroxide every couple of hours and placing a gauze over it. when I woke up the next morning the gauze didnt smell and the hole has closed up about 60% from what it was. I dont have a fever, and I'm still on antibiotics, and i think all those are helping as well. I was very happy this morning, and I will continue to do this just for a couple of days to track my imporvement. I also prayed and I think that helped. You see My surgeon is in Florida, and I'm at my new Job in Indiana, so thats whay I'm trying to not fly to my surgeon unless it is absolutely necessary. THank you so much, and I'd still apprecite a reply if you 'd like, or unless I need to pay more money? thank you again!
