My daughter's pediatrician discovered that her vagina has grown closed. I have been applying an estragen cream with a q tip and applying pressure. It has been several months and it began to open. I left it alone and now notice that it is closed again. Is there surgery needed. She only told me to do this application process again. It is worrying me that the pediatrician is not concerned that a problem could occur. I asked for something to be done in the office or hospital. She said it was not necessary, it will open. That if surgery was done it would be painful and could close back because of a toddlers skin being so tender. As she gets older the skin would be tougher and remain open. What kind of internal infection can she get from not eliminating discharge or something.
