For women, pain in this area may indicate a urinary tract infection or pelvic inflammatory disease.

  • Urinary tract infection (UTI)

  • Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)
  • If the pain goes to either side as well, it could indicate colon problem. Irritable bowel syndrome

Since it takes so long to get in the clinic, you may want to be seen at your local health dept. as they have a womans clinic s well.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *ACCEPT* button and leave *POSITIVE* feedback.

Reply to Lindie's Post: my health dept has the 3 month waiting list, so it isn't likly to happen. Also i have been getting these pains for about a month now. although they started out much less sever and often. Also I don't think this would have anything to do with but but i know next to nothing about health so..   I missed my last period, which isn't to abnormal for me because i have a history of cysts. Luckliy the non pain ful i didn't even knew I had them till i was hospitlized for something else cysts, could they have something to do with this?

There are different cysts, most common is fluid filled. Which generally do burst after menstruation begins. But for a cyst you would generally have pain in the lower right or lower left abdomen. But you state pain in the lower middle. Which then would indicate PID. If you are having any pressure or problem with urination, then this would indicate UTI. If you are having none, and the pain is in the middle, chances are this is related to PID.

I would still make an appt. And ask them to please call you, if they have a cancellation. If it gets too severe, I would be seen in the ER. You can also worry about billing later. But the ER would have to treat you.

I am also going to give you a link for appendix problems, just in case the location of the pain shifts. Appendicitis

    Hope this helps Hun.

Reply to Alexander Irvine's Post: ok there is 2 spots i get the pain usually about the same time, one might start hurting right before the other, but only by like a few seconds. The pain is on the lower sides of my stomach, but in the front (make sence?)like there on 2 sides of my navel but down almopst to my pelvic bone. (making any ssence) its kinda hard to explain. THey are pretty sharp and intence expecially if i move when i am having them. If i do move the pain shoots down and towards the center.   No urinary symptoms or bowel upset and since i started having these about a month ago my current boyfriend and i have stopped having sex all together. until i know what it is causing it,we never have sex unprotected (i never want kids or an std) and neither of us have sex with other people.   any of that any help

    Hi

The pain you describe is not diagnostic of any particular condition.

It has features of smoothe muscle spasm and also of skeletal muscle pain.

Until you are seen I suggest you try.

Ibuprofen 6oomg three times per day ( muscular pain)

Hyoscine 20mg three times per day ( smoothe muscle sapsm is the genito-urinary tract or bowel).

Let me know if this helps.
