I have pain during urination that is almost unbearable.

I have pain during urination that is almost unbearable. There is also a foul odor. this just started today and it happened all at once, there were no other symptoms. Is this a urinary tract infection and if so how do i treat it.

Hi,

Yes,The symptoms in urinary tract infection are burning and frequency of urine even if the amount is less.Sometimes it may be accompanied by a backache too.

You need to get a urine routine examination and culture done and thereafter depending on the type of infection(bacterial,fungal,protozoal) you need the medicines.
