tripped and cut my lower leg and bruised it. now have cosiderable swelling even after icing it for 4 hours

Already Tried:
bandaged the bleeding abrasion-caused by hitting the side of a table while walking causing the fall and then put my leg on a pilow in bed and am icing it. i'm on the blood thinner cumiden due to blood clots a couple of years ago.
