i have never had an outbreak of hsv 2, but i had a std blood test done and it came back as a positive for hsv 2. Could this test be wrong and showed positive if I have had some other form of herpes

Hello,

You can have the test repeated but it is possible to have hsv2 and not have an outbreak after an initial herpes infection in the past. So the test can be correct.
