Little irritation right at the entrance of virgina little painful at times. Not on any medications and have no known allergies to any. I am 44yrs. old. and not pregnant. What could be the problem?

This discharge could be due to hormone changes, it could also indicate an infection as well. At this point I would highly suggest seeing your doctor, so proper treatment can be given. Even if it is or was a yeast infection, douching can make it worse, as this can also cause your normal "good" bacteria in the vaginal area to become unbalanced.

But for now, since it's been a month, do follow up with your doctor.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don't forget to click the *ACCEPT* button and leave *POSITIVE* feedback.

For one Hun, douching can change your pH balance, so you really need to stop doing this. Since you are 44, this could also be due to hormone changes as you may be pre-menopause as well. You can try drinking some aloe juice as this may help some too. I know it's in the HBA area of Walmart. You dilute it with water.

You can go to your local health dept for paps etc., and there is generally no fee or they may ask for a small donation. So just because you can't go to the doctors doesn't mean care is not there for you.

Under your circumstances do this. Stop any douching. Start eating at least 2 yogurts (make sure it is plain) do not get fat free or low fat, do this 2 x daily for a week. (this will help get your pH balance to normal again) Avoid tight fitting clothes, pantyhose, wear loose cotton panties, after activities that cause you to sweat make sure you shower right away, make sure to wipe front to back, if you wear pads vs tampon there is a chemical in pads that can cause for irritation in some too, if you shave the vaginal area do stop that, no douching, try to lower carbs in your diet and see if all this helps to stop this from reoccurring.

Hope this helps Hun.
