Question

How do I get my body to stop producing this thick, bright yellow/green

Sent to Health Experts October 05, 2006 2:48 a.m.

I had some version of flu a few weeks ago.......fever, stuffy/runny nose, sore throat, mild dry cough, weak/low energy, etc. For the last two weeks, once the other symptoms were gone, not uncommon to me when I get sick, my sinus issues have remained. The difference this time is that I feel clear at night, but horrible infected mucus produced by blowing my nose constantly and hacking up mucus all day long is persisting. I taste mucus all day and in the morning when I wake up. I know the infected stuff is accumulating in my lungs and stomach at night and I expell it all day long. Tonight it began concerning me though becuase I have not slept yet and I can taste it and feel it in my lungs. When I lay down, it feels like my throat is full and like if I threw up I could fill a toilet with it. How do I get my body to stop producing this thick, bright yellow/green mucus?? I feel no other symptoms. Do I have bronchitis or walking pneumonia or something?
