Hello and Welcome to Just Answer,
Have you had any trouble with your teeth? Such as grinding or gritting your teeth?
Do you catch yourself during the day feeling all tensed up around the neck area?
I have this same problem and I needed to ask a few questions.
Thanks,
Pam Russell

I was wondering if you have had any problems with your teeth? Do you grind them at night, or grit them during the day?

Now I understand. Yes definately these could be lymphnodes that are swollen and are causing you pain. Sometimes the infection or virus that you were experiencing can settle in your neck. This can point to several things such as Mono, simple infection due from the illness you had, or maybe even chronic fatigue. If this gets any worse you will need to see a doctor so they can treat you with some medication that will help if it is an infection. I hope I have helped you.
If you have anymore questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
