I have had diarrhea on and off for 6 days. I had lower back pain and abdominal cramping. Now by diarrhea looked like a jelly substance and was tinged with blood.
Is this a serious problem or just a viral bug?

Actually, since it has been going on for 6 days, and now you are having increased mucus and bleeding, you may have a bacterial infection going on. This merits a trip to the doctor so some further testing can be done. You may need a course of antibiotics to clear this up.
