What could cause severe pain starting on the right side of the lower abdominal/pelvic area, then spreading across most of the lower adominal/pelvic area, with bursts of localised, sharp, shooting pain that feels like it begins at the front of the abdominal area and goes straight through and out the other side. Pain was servere on a scale of 0-10 (zero being no pain, and 10 being the worst imaginable pain, such as sticking your hand in a vat of boiling oil) the pain was about 6-7 on average, when laying still, but as soon as I moved it went up to 8. Emptying my bladder caused an excruciating pain deep inside my lower abdominal/pelvic region. Pain lasted at this intensity for approximately 6hrs. After that it was only as intense when I moved, and no longer just while I layed still. Pain commenced about 2pm Saturday 17th Feb during intercourse, and is still present today, 19th Feb, but only on a pain rating of about 3-4, sometimes 5.
