Hi,
Yes, there is a chance of increased infections following menopause due to vaginal atrophy and decrease of vaginal secretions.
Menopause is associated with several changes in the vagina including atrophy, drying, etc.
The signs commonly associated are: dryness of vagina, itching, pain during intercourse, bleeding following intercourse, vaginal secretions and vaginal infections.
Vaginal atrophy happens to about 50% of all women eventually as an association of menopause.
This can be treated fairly simply with estrogen creams. They can also be brought at all pharmacies. You should try with these.
However, it is always a good idea to consult a gynaecologist for these issues.
