I hope that he is not having incontinence, there is no obvious medical reason to have skin smelling like urine,

Reply to Gaurav Gupta's Post: No he is not having incontinence. He is very clean and showers twice daily. He works out every morning and works a full time job. He is 56 years old. He seems to smell more like urine after he has worked all day, almost like he is smeating out urine on his skin. This is not very apealing to me. Thank you for you continued help in this matter.

I remain,

I agree with Dr. Gupta that there is no obvious reason for the skin to smell like urine. Nonetheless, if it continues, this problem is worth looking into.

I suggest that your husband see an endocrinologist -- they are doctors who deal with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the glandular system and metabolism.

While you may be able to make an appointment directly -- it is also possible that your husband's primary physician will need to refer him. A quick call to the endocrinologist's office will sort that out for you.

Let me know if you need more input. If not, thanks for the opportunity to assist you... Please honor my efforts by pushing green 'Accept' button (located within this post -- above-right). Adding a bonus -- should you wish to do so -- would be warmly welcomed.

Good Luck!
