my little niece has blisters in her mouth and cant swallow anything her gums are red and bleeding could you help me with this

we have took her to a doctor they said it was from her cold he just gave her stuff to num her mouth so she can eat but she is getting no better just worse she is only 2yaers old and we are very worried
