I was diagnosed with herpes about 4 years ago, i havn't had many outbreaks since, however,2 weeks ago i had a blister on my finger which i picked and the skin is now off it, a few days later above my eye was itchy, i scatched it and a clear fluid came out, and now along my fore head i have a number of scabs, and on and around my eye. Also, several days after this, i scatched my underurm and yet another lesion type thing is there! And also there is a type of scab on my lower back. Is this all herpes? About 5 days before the first blister of the finger i had what i thought was fluey like symptons. I'm getting very worried now, please help

Hi

Sounds a bit more like mild chickenpox.

A blood test from your Dr will confirm or refute a recent chickenpox infection.

Reply to Alexander Irvine's Post: It's funny you should say that, at my son's nursery there was chickenpox recently and he has a few spots but it doesn't look anything like mine!! I will get myself down to the doctor, however the reason i asked was to avoid going there, but i really feel i need to know what it is now, many thanks

Hi

If it is mild chickenpox you will not need any treatment.

Relist: I still need help.
I have been to the doctor and was told it is more like a bacterial infection. she has prescibed me with a course of 'flucloxacillin' and taken a swab, which i will have to wait until friday to get the results. She explained that as it is in different places it's definately not chickenpox.
