While he was in the hospital they noticed that he is small for his age. He was released and he was ok and has been going to the bathroom ok, but staring yesturday he stared with the high fever again he has no other symptoms except the fever they other symptom that i can think is dry mouth. I am very despreate because it seems that his pediatrician can not tell me what is wrong with him.

Hello.

Thankyou for your question about your son. I will try my best to help.

Has he always had recurrent fevers or is this a new problem?

How often has required hospital admission?

Is he on any regular medications?

Ok

Good.

There are two possibilites.

1.He is completely normal and is simply getting normal childhood infections - this is more common, generally, when kids mix with lots of other kids.
I see a lot of parents ,like yourself, concerned that their children are "never well."

2. He has a serious problem with his immune system - this would result in recurrent severe bacterial infections - not what you describe.

I suspect your son is completely normal. I sometimes offer to do bloods if parents want some extra reassurance - CBC and immunoglobulins.
If you do not feel 100% reassured then why not speak with your sond DR re getting these checked.
