Hi - I get urinary tract infections from time to time. I suspect that I have one right now (burning sensation during urination, more frequent urination with not much flow, subtle pain in the lower abdomen). I do not have a fever. My doctor gave me macrobid to take whenever I feel this happening because I go through periods where it happens a lot. Basically I have two older prescriptions for macrobid at home right now (Nitrofur.monohydrate cap 100mg) and I was wondering, since they are bit older, if it was still safe to take, or if there is an expiration date for macrobid where it becomes dangerous to take if the prescription is old. Fill dates are 9/06/2006 and 12/22/05.
