Treatment for Bursitis in hips and thighs

Hi,

It sounds that you have a condition called:

Trochanteric Bursitis [T.B.]

In my 16 yrs of clinical practice, the most successful treatment for T.B. has been:

Steroid Injections, directly into the trochanteric bursa, done by an expert [usually an Orthopedic Surgeon].

I would consult a qualified, highly-regarded Orthopedist in your area, to get such a procedure done; sometimes it may take a series of such injections.

Steriod injections do not help

Have you had MRI scan of hips and lower spine done, to check for overlapping pathology, such as severe Osteoarthritis [OA]?
