Medical Miracle or Freak of Nature?
Sent to Health Experts May 04 10:17 AM

Six months ago I fell down a flight of stairs and hit my head twice during the fall. Recently I discovered an odd side effect. I have worn glasses since I was 3 years old. Three days ago I have had difficulty seeing clearly. I thought my glasses were smudged. Today I realized I can see in stereo for the first time in my life. Have you ever heard of anything like that happening?

No, I haven't. I suppose that I could try to explain it, but it is only a guess, based on knowledge of anatomy and neurology. Perhaps you had a muscular imbalance of the muscles that move the eye due to muscle entrapment or entrapment of one of the small nerves that lead to the eye. The fall and striking the head could have jarred them loose and relieved the entrapment. Another possibility is an optic nerve dysfunction that spontaneously resolved. I don't really have a good scientific answer for you. I think you are just going to have to accept your good fortune. It could have been a freak of nature. I suppose a miracle is possible, if you believe in them. If an "angel" is looking over you and helped it happen, ask him/her to provide me with 6 numbers between 1 and 56 that I can play for the next lotto drawing.
