an ENT should be able to drain the fluid by making a small incision in the ear drum. im not sure what type of dr youll be seeing. a regular primary care dr might not do this and you may need a referral to an ENT.
sometimes a short course of prednisone can help the symptoms and the drainage. you can try asking your dr about this option if they are unable to drain the fluid today.
