Why have I not had a period yet?

I've been taking Camila for a little over 3 months now....I was breastfeeding my daughter when I first started the mini pill, so I wasn't having a period. I've almost weened her...she only nurses at night now, but I still haven't had a period. So, I'm wondering how that's possible. Will I not have a period until I am no longer producing milk....or what?
