I am getting ready for an egg retrieval and have been on Lupron since June 12th (day 21 of my previous cycle). I have pretty regular with my periods - 28 days. However, I have only been spotting this cycle since last Thursday. I had a baseline u/s and blood work done last Wednesday and I had a small cyst on my left ovary and my estrogen was 83. We were to start my stim meds the 23rd but we moved it back a week. I have another baseline u/s and blood work scheduled for tomorrow. I am wondering if being on the Lupron will delay my period. If I do not start tomorrow, do you think the cyst will go away? I don't want to get bumped back another week. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!

Do you think 83 is too high?

Would I have any indications or symptoms that would make be think the cyst is enlarging?

You had IVF? It worked the first time?

THANKS!!!

I also forgot to mention that last cycle they did not put me on Lupron and I did not respond well to the meds. I had one follicle really grow exceedingly faster than all the others, so my cycle was cancelled. That is why I am so nervous about this month!

Thanks again

the estrogen level is fine now just they want it to go up slowly so that the cyst wont enlarge before the follicles are ready. you probably wont have symptoms with the cyst until its a certain size, different for everyon, where it might cause some pain on the lower side. every cycle is different and "experimental" to see what is the right combo for you at the right dose.
for us it was the second time-twins! but many iui before that (5) that were unsuccessful so hang in there and dont be nervous. stress just worsens things.
